The new AERUS Z achieves both lightness and stability. With each generation, the AERUS series prides itself on pushing the boundaries of lightness. This new 5th generation model is the lightest ever badminton shoe from Yonex, weighing in at just 240 grams per shoe*. These shoes are slimmed down by adopting a new sole made of Feather Light X, a material that is 12% lighter in weight, while generating more repulsion than the previous AERUS models. A key ingredient to stability is reliable grip. RADIAL BLADE SOLE is implemented to provide ultimate grip.

With a new seamless upper design, comprised of 100% recycled materials, the Durable Skin Light and Double Russel Mesh bring less weight with better fit, flexibility and breathability – Easy on your feet as well as the environment. With the POWER CUSHION+ and improved 3D Power Graphite Drive, the AERUS Z is not only light stable and eco-friendly, but also converts the impact of each step into repulsion and power for the next.

The new AERUS Z is now available in men’s, women’s and wide models, giving players more options. It is also accompanied by its affordable counterpart, AERUS X and junior model, AERUS JR. The upper construction features a singular main component that combines the strength and lightness of Durable Skin Light with the exceptional breathability of Double Raschel Mesh. These two materials are seamlessly fused together using a vacuum-pressing technique, resulting in a reduced material usage for the upper.

Introducing the RADIAL BLADE SOLE, a newly redesigned grip pattern on the sole. By meticulously arranging a windmill-shaped pattern that incorporates both large and small indentations, weight distribution across the shoe is optimized, leading to an approximate 3%* improvement in grip. This enhanced grip provides excellent support for rapid accelerations and abrupt stops.
